The two ways into an attach*: from a source with the factory's own options, or from a node you built with the factory yourself — the way the declarative lane shares one calculation between drawings (bollingerBands(price).out.middle under a line of its own). A node does not carry its formula, so in that mode name is yours to give — the label MA(20) cannot be made up from a node. The two are exclusive: node?: never on one side and source?: never on the other keep { source, node } out at compile time, and the runtime refuses a node key that is present but undefined.
