Ease of Movement (EMV) — how far the bar's midpoint moved against the previous bar's, per unit of volume over range: dm × ((range / volume) × 1e8) in that order, with dm the mean of the two extremes' moves (the canonical KLineChart scale; other charting packages use other constants, so their readings differ by that factor), and an sma of that as its signal — the canonical's maEmv. The canonical also declares a second window it never reads; this takes one option instead. No observation on the first bar, on a bar without volume, with zero volume or with zero range — the canonical's own formulation is the move over a box ratio volume / range, which has no value at either zero — so null, where the canonical writes 0 for the last three (a missing volume is 0 to it). A definition on the inputs, not a door on the arithmetic.
